Awful. Mediocre food at best. Absolutely awful. Under staffed & over priced. Mediocre food at best. Long wait for food. The night we dined we waited at the door for the waiter on the floor to acknowledge us, which he chose to pretend he didn't see us. When finally seated we were presented with liver pate' that looked and smelled like it had seen better days, the bread was old and hard, way beyond stale. The salad was wet and wilted and lacking anything other than a wedge of mushy tomato. Long wait for our dinner. We asked to speak to the owner and the waitress informed us he was cooking our food and she would let him know we wanted to speak to him. He never came to speak to us. [11 Nov 2004 03:54:48]

Disappointed Diner
Quite Good Mediterian Food Have dined at Perdinos several times and have yet to be served a dinner that wasn't quite good. All the entrees seem to have a Mediterranean style with a slight taste of Northern Italian preparation. Seafood appears to be their specialty and Perdinos has quite a good selection of shellfish for this area. Dinner prices are reasonable and I've always found service to be top quality. nice dining This is a nice quaint place, the food was well prepared and the ambiance was really good. Very personable waitstaff and they were very open to making the dishes how WE wanted them not the "way they come". I would highly recomend this restuarant to anyone who is looking for high quality food and a quiet place to dine. [04 Jun 2005 02:04:48]

Can't go to Grosse Ile without visiting Perdino's Business is down but I think it's because of the economy. This poses a problem when you order some of your favorites.... they don't have what's on the menu. I was bragging about the perch ... the best I have ever had ... and they didn't have it! If you have a chance .. order the Chicken Perdino .. it's fabulous!
They need to do something for the atmosphere . .it's too quiet ... you can hear what everyone is talking about. [06 Jul 2005 20:34:19]

Excellent Restaurant Excellent restaurant with great steaks and a specialty dish called Chicken Perdino. I've never ordered seafood, but imagine it's quite good. Waitstaff was friendly and place a large emphasis on how YOU want the food cooked. Will bend over backwards to accomodate you. Also, very quiet. [09 Jan 2006 17:50:14]

WOW! The Chicken Perdino is unreal. And the whitefish (broiled, extra sauce) is the best fish dish I have ever eaten. There was a bit of a wait for the food, but we would have waited twice as long. One of the best restaurants in the Downriver area, hands down. Just make sure you have a couple hours ;) Truly a diamond in the rough.
Give it a chance, and you just might be hooked. We go once a month, at least. [06 Dec 2006 19:20:45]

Excellent Meal! I have lived on the island for years and ate only once at this restaurant years and years ago. My family wanted somewhere to eat but didn't want to leave the island because we had gone over the toll bridge at least 6 times over the weekend. So we decided to try Perdino's.
Man, were we surprised on how wonderful our meal/service was last night. I had the fillet...incredible! My favorite place to eat is Andiamo's and my fillet last night was BETTER than my old favorite. We all had a great meal and it cost far less than the other restuarant. We will definitely dine there more often. [30 Sep 2007 09:32:14]
