I Love Monte's!
I live in the Metro Detroit area, but have been visiting our cottage in Harrison since I was born. Monte's has been there since (probably before) and it's always been my favorite restaurant up in Harrison. The pizza, by far, is the best I've ever tasted! The crust around the pizza is thick. But the pizza itself has a thinner crust...but it's chewy and gooey with loads of delicious cheese and amazing tomato pasta sauce that you know is homemade as soon as you bite into it. Their pizza's are geneous sizes with large slices and always hot...sometimes too hot to dive into at first! The pasta's are also great with authentic homemade sauces (as mentioned). Maybe I'm biased, but Monte's is a wonderful, quaint, family restaurant.    [09 Sep 2005 08:57:31]

That restuarant is Monte's at 97 Macdugall Street in Greeenwich Village in New York City.
