More than their humor was dry
My wife had a meatball sandwich tonight that was a little on the dry side. When she asked for a small cup of extra sauce we were told extra sauce would cost $3.50. Upon checkout the manager confirmed that extra sauce could not be given for free on any order. He even asked if i knew what a bottle of sauce cost at the supermarket. I didn't know they used bottled sauce. Well I guess it's only good business to serve the dish dry and then charge for extra sauce.
