Great food, great fun!
Wonderful experience. The calvelli burger was superb. Cooked to order with up to 8 items from a list of at least 20 choices. I chose a cheese burger with 5 different types of cheese and BBQ sauce on the side. Asking for the fries with no seasoning salt, the waitstaff was very friendly and substitutions/special instructions was not an issue or problem for them.

The food arrived quickly and was cooked to perfection with all my special instructions met. The waitress was very attentive with drink refills and making sure everything was to my liking.

The decor is a retro/50s-ish design with classic cars and decorations to the era. The drink prices are the best in town with quality taste and a wide selection.

Karaoke began at 9 and several hours can be spent enjoying the music or joining in on the fun. The talent ranges from professional quality to laughable but makes for an interesting and fun night.

One little touch that I thought was special was the restrooms had convenience baskets with lotion, hairpins, other items that was a special homey touch I have not seen before

The evening of my visit there was a large private party that seemed to be having a good time so I would think this would be a good place for gatherings of the sort. I did not need a reservation but arrived early but would definitely think about making one if I was going with a party larger than 4 people. The restaurant did get very busy later in the evening but my server made sure to visit me often during the evening to make sure my needs were being taken care of.

THE Place for a Burger in Lapeer
I live in Lapeer and go here every other week. Get the 1/2 lb burger with a choice of 8 items included in the price (ask for seasoned fries instead of regular). The worlds best blue cheese dressing. Also a great French dip, and I love their deep fried mini taco's. Retro diner/car memorabelia casual atmosphere. The serve is always A+.    [15 May 2007 13:24:00]
