Never Again
Arrived with 6 people, received 2 menus. After a half hour received a drink. Half an hour after that received appetizer. Finally after 2 hours of being here received meals. Will not be back    [21 Feb 2005 16:03:13]

Great Place
Been there a couple of times. I generally have the Flat Iron Steak and my wife the perch or shrimp. - - We always have this chessy crab dip appetizer. Food was great - Service is also very very good. The Cabo Wabo Margaritas is wonderful.    [25 Mar 2005 10:24:10]

Our little hideaway
We have been going to Castaways since they opened. The food is outstanding particularly the prime rib and the filet mignons. They are always cooked perfectly. The selection of wines and specialty drinks are a nice variety from the everyday cocktails. We have a few servers which are our favorites and have always had great service. Great View with Great Food to Match
They have a really interesting salad dressing called Cusabi (cucumber and wasabi in the dressing)this is a must. We like their flat iron steak, as well as the seafood dish that is in a red sauce over dirty rice (excellent rice). I have lived in New Orleans and can attest to the fact that the chef knows his Cajun food. Their fried crawdaddies are also excellent. Ask for a table near the lake. The only negative is spotty, inconsistant service from inexperienced servers.    [15 May 2007 13:17:06]

Love it!
I love the bruschetta and the lighthouse salad. My husband and I have never had a bad meal here, and my husband has tried several dishes. Very fun trying different drinks! Suggestions
The food is good, and the service is good. Can Castaways build a bigger resturant, make the outdoor deck on the ground on the side of the resturant, if there is a deck I have not seen one. Can they make a bigger deck, to be able to watch the lake. The prices could be cheaper, if they were cheaper they would have more customers.
