Best sliders in Michigan!
This place has the best old fashioned hamburgers in all of Michigan. Just the basics, real hamburger, onions, pickles, ketchup & mustard on a bun that has been steamed on the grill right over the cooking hamburger.

No chain junk food place can touch them. Great old fashioned french cut fried potatoes and real malts too.

A step right back into the 50's complete with white enamel walls, Formica bar and swivel stools. It is the best in its class.    [31 May 2005 09:23:28]

Best Burgers in Town
Bates is the best restaurant to go to when looking for a quick lunch or dinner, but be sure and allow some time for them to prepare the burgers at lunch time. I don't care for burgers, but I will eat 2 Bates burgers with onions, ketchup, mustard. My brother from Lansing tries to make a point to hit Bates whenever in town. My son who lives in Toledo also does the same thing. He heads for Bates, then to City Hall to see his dad. Since his dad had a heart attack, he has to stay away from greasey foods. Their fries are always nice and crispy and the chocolate shakes are very thick. An enjoyable little restaurant.    [16 Jan 2006 19:34:32]

Bates Burgers on the Boulevard
This is a fine dining establishment! It has the BEST slider burgers, fries and service -- sometimes with/without a smile.

Great place to eat -- WARNING - there is NO public bathroom so go before you get there.

Bates is Great!
If you're ever on the corner of 7 Mile and Beech-Daly (Redford Twp.)And they haven't changed the landscape, you should come upon Bates Hambugers- you're in for a treat. I, along with a close friend spent most of our high school days sitting on stools, watching the traffic go by on 7 Mile and eating Bates double cheeseburgers.    [06 Jun 2006 19:28:33]
