Excellent Choice
Saturday night and there weren't any tables available, so we went to the bar and ordered dinner there. The 'Nightly Special' for Saturday was either a hand cut 12 oz NY strip or half rack of baby back ribs - both served with 4 hand breaded lake perch. We went for the NY strip. Ordered medium and medium rare, respectively, the steaks were perfect. Baked potato and salad rounded out the meal. A bonus to sitting at the bar was being able to watch the Detroit Tigers game on the tube while we ate. Staff was very attentive, and the atmosphere was fine for casual dining. At first I thought the lake perch fillets were a bit small, but it turned out to be the perfect portion to go along with the steak. We were in the area on a short fishing expedition and left for home right from the water Sunday afternoon. Next time I'll stay for Sunday dinner and try their Prime Rib.
