Nothing Special
My friend just raves about this place, so I had high expectations. I was disappointed. The food was OK, the service was OK, the atmosphere lacks, but they do have an outdoor deck which was cool. Definitely didn't live up to the hype that some if it's loyal patrons swear by.    [02 Feb 2005 17:39:49]

Disappointed
I have been going to this restaurant off and on. Haven't been there in a while and decided to go again. The prices were really quite expensive considering the other prices in town. The service was not the greatest, and the food was quite bland. Will not be back any time soon.    [21 Feb 2005 12:33:23]

Portside Is GREAT
We visit a few times each year and have to stop at the Portside for a few meals. My husband loves the Hungryman pizza and I always get a fajita pita. They have good beers on tap and live music on the deck. Always great food and atmosphere.    [04 Nov 2005 15:54:11]

Good People
Stopped in again for a visit in Marquette. Always good food with friendly staff. Large portions of fresh made food. Prices good for quality and amount of food you get.    [15 Dec 2005 14:29:45]

Marquette Favorite
This place has been around for 20+ years-
I've been going there for 10. Most of the staff is the same, which says a lot about the place. The food is good, but I go for the atmosphere. Always friendly regulars, cold beer on tap and enough seats at the bar.    [27 Jan 2006 16:25:34]

Another Bar
I have not been there in awhile and decided to go last week only due a friend playing in the band. My sister always praises their food, but I was never impressed by it or the service. I only go there for the band.    [23 Jun 2007 20:44:53]

My FAVORITE in Marquette
The Portside Inn has always been my favorite spot in Marquette. The food is great and it is always busy- which says a lot for the place. I think the service is super, and we don't mind waiting for a table. Plenty of good beer on tap too.    [13 Aug 2007 23:59:59]

Very nice place to go
It is not a gourmet restaurant that serves drinks, it is a bar that has really good food. I suggest you go there to have a few drinks and socialize with friends and get a bite to eat and you will love it. If you are looking for food and drinks in marquette The Landmark Inn, The Upfront and Company, and The Portside are the best places to go, However The portside is much more casual and inexpensive. It is just a Bar after all.    [14 May 2008 14:15:23]

I've Had Better Prison Food
The owner employees a very sickly looking man who lingers there after his shift breathing down your neck with his cheap vodka breath and foul mouth. The rest of the staff is not very friendly either unless you're in their regular customer click. Prices are high for bar-food. The owner copies other dining establishments menu as a means of what I think she thinks is cornering the dining market.    [21 Jul 2008 12:11:29]
