A Monroe Institution
For as long as I remember, I have been eating at this restaurant, and it has changed very little over the years. It is now run by the second generation of the Conte family.

This small restaurant consistently turns out incredible Italian favorites. The restaurant consists of one large room, with a counter up front where people who have ordered take-out stand and wait for their food to come out of the kitchen. On many nights, there are so many cars in the parking lot (many often from Ohio) that one has to wonder how all those people can fit inside.

In the summer, there are always fresh flowers on each table. They are closed on Mondays. They offer beer and wine. What they lack in atmosphere, they more than make up for in taste.    [27 Jun 2007 17:24:35]

International flavour
I have regulary eaten at the restaurant and have to say that the food is awesome. The decor is not, but the staff and the food make up for it. I come from the UK and have travelled all over the world, always tasting lasagna (My fav dish), but I have to say that Detroit Beach does a great lasagna.    [03 Feb 2008 11:44:48]
