Everything was great. We arrived there on a Saturday night, around 7. We were told there would be about a an hour wait. We expected that, so headed to the bar. The bartenders were great, we got our drinks in no time (after the bartender helped me decide what I wanted, a really good fruity strong martini- but I forgot the name) and they asked us if we wanted to eat at the bar. We hadn't planned on it- but asked to see a menu, and asked if maybe we could order an appetizer since it would be awhile - "Oh absolutely" she said. There is nothing worse than having bartenders act like the only thing you can get at the bar is a drink- they probably screw themselves quite a bit. Anyway, ordered the Calimari.
They brought us bread and within a few minutes the calimari was dropped off. It was exceptional. We finished and since it had been about 40 minutes decided to pay our tab, but only after they talked us into one more drink- just in case :)(which we were glad we did). About 15 minutes later (right at the hour mark) we were called and seated. We were promptly met by our sever and since we had already sat at the bar, had an idea of what we wanted. We ordered right away and the server disappeared and within a few minutes (maybe 3) came with bread and our salads.
Within 2 minutes of finishing our salads, my husband's and my dinners came out. He got the Luigi Lamb chop (at the suggestion of the bartender, and the server), and I got fried ravioli. Both were fantastic. They were done perfectly and we enjoyed them very much. The portions were great. My husband of course finished his, but I had to take most of mine home- it was even better the next day. Im glad we went and we'll definitely be back. [17 Mar 2008 12:10:43]
