Description

A modestly sized, contemporarily attractive bar and dining room on the lower level of a multistory hotel complex, the Marina Grand Resort, with a direct view of the New Buffalo Harbor and some outside seating. Dinner all nights of the week and lunch some days of the week, with seasonal variations. A wide range of food is available, some with Asian overtones, from burgers and pizza to an interesting variety of appetizers and sides as low as $3 (a couple of which could make a fine, light late-evening meal) and dinner entrees, ranging from $11.95 (during-the-week “comfort food” specials) to about $30.

Excellent food from an established local chef
Bentwood has been open for about an year now. It is run by Jenny Drilon, who formerly had Jenny's restaurant at the Gordon Beach Inn, and, later, on Red Arrow Hwy.

The wood-fired pizza oven puts out some dynamite small pizzas. The food is always excellent. Our favorite is the fish and chips, cod - batter-dipped and coated in panko crumbs.

Chicken and fish lead the list of entrees. Portions are large. Wife and I like to share the fish and chips while sitting at the bar (a nod to Cody the friendly and witty bartender). Place is packed in the summer, even with indoor and outdoor dining.
