This is my favorite restaurant of all time. There is no way you can go wrong at this place, every dish is wonderful. They've got recipe books for the inexperienced diners, but half the fun is in making up your own interesting combinations. You've gotta try this place!    [05 Sep 2001 19:26:45]

GOOD FOOD
I absolutely adore Sizzling Sticks. Much more than Mongolian Barbecue. Here I received good service, and good food. At Mongolian Barbecue I received Raw Cook Meat and hot sauce dripping on my hand. I highly recommend this place!    [27 Jul 2002 13:31:43]

Overall atmosphere very bland. Much in need of a good scrubbing...the "recipe books" are scary to the touch. Dishes and tables could use an overhaul. The food was very good but the choice of ingredients seemed to be lacking.    [22 Oct 2004 06:22:32]

Terrible Experience
Not sure what all the fuss is about - I was completely disappointed.

While having dinner at Sizzling Sticks, I had the most horrible experience I've ever had in a restaurant. Someone behind the grill slipped and dumped salsa all over me and my two dining companions. That's not the worst part. The grillers, the guy that slipped, and everyone else in the place DIDN'T DO A THING! The two grillers actually LAUGHED at us and didn't offer us a towel, napkin, an apology, nothing!

I had to ask my server for assistance after we sat down and even then the help was inadequate. I asked for a manager and he looked at me like I wasn't speaking English.

I will never return to Sizzling Sticks. There are so many better places in Metro Detroit - don't waste your time or money. If you want Mongolian Barbeque - go to BD's in Novi - it is SO much better. I'll leave you with this thought - I was covered in Salsa - why in the world is there salsa in a Mongolian style restaurant?    [25 Jul 2005 09:31:46]

I love Sizzling Sticks

I Can't Believe People Left Negative Comments

Healthy & Delicious
We also found this place through the entertainment book. It's a great place if you are really hungry, because you can have as much as you want, and also good because it can accomdate all kinds of dietary restrictions.

Our family likes to eat here together, and it's better than some places like it because it's not super loud in there. I especially like the seafood choices. A "plus" of seasoning the food yourself is that you can control the sodium, which is an issue for some people. If the dish ahead of you was REALLY spicy, you may get a little in your food off the grill, but that only happened one time.

It's true the menu cards are a little "icky", but the food is healthy and a good value.    [14 Nov 2006 13:39:08]

AMAZING!!!!!!
This restaurant was absolutely amazing, the service was outstanding, the quality of the food was well worth the value paid for.

The whole idea of creating your own stir fry to your exact prefrences is so mfuch fun. The atmosphere is much better than bd's, in consideration of the food, quality and environment. Sizzling sticks is a well kept restaurant that is one of the cleanest I've ever been into. The owner Orlando looks like Elvis Presley which is something I look forward to seeing at every visit. Like dining in Anartica
I have always been a big fan of this place (see my review above). However, we dined here for lunch in December. It was quite honestly the coldest restaurant I have been in ever. We were sitting near a window with blinds drawn and you could feel the air leaking in. This was freezing in itself without the door opening on you every so often. Just terrible. Ate with coat buttoned up and still shivered. I really considered just leaving. Wait staff never even mentioned the temperature of the place. I don't think they honestly had the heat on at all.

Also - the bar was out of chicken and shrimp and there was no attempt to fill it.
