A REAL Steak Sandwich
These sandwiches are large and the portions of steak are generous. They grill with sirloin I believe and you can taste the difference. This is the best Philly steak sandwich I've ever had outside of Philly! They grill your steak when you ask for it and can grill in extras for you upon request. All ingredients are top notch.

The employees were all courteous and helpful and I am always served promptly there. It is by no means a fine-dining establishment; it's a strictly fast-food type dining room. The ambiance definitely fits the fare, though. A 50's inspired decor graces the walls and restrooms, which were spotless.

We live in Washington State now and miss Big John's immensely. We wish that they would franchise this family-owned GEM! This is the best steak sandwich in the mid-west!    [03 Jun 2006 17:17:06]
