Always a vast array of food to choose from. Menu never changes but portions will undoubtably fill up the hungriest eater around. Very casual setting with an enormous amount of old signs, license plates, and a train that runs overhead near the bar. Staff is friendly and courteous. Awesome!!
I have ate at Desi's since I was a teenager. I have never had such wonderful Mexican food. Even when I was out west I found myself comparing the Mexican food with what I had at Desi's. I have never had a disappointing meal here. I used to love our family vacations to northern Michigan because I knew at some point we'd go to Desi's!!!    [11 Jun 2006 11:12:06]

Yuck!
It baffles my husband and I why ANYONE would go to this restaurant a second time. The food has NO flavor what so ever. There enchiladas (if you want to call them that) are covered in nacho cheese sauce and if you want "real" cheese you have to request it!! The one time I was there my "enchilada" had lima beans in it. Just WRONG. The staff may be fine but there is one woman there, and I won't mention her by name, but she's beyond rude. This was the only time in my life I have left a penny tip. This restaurant only has two things going for it, one they have good margaritas and two they are the only restaurant located in a ten mile radius.
