Redesigned - great view, not great food
My family ate at Zukey Lake in January - it was more than disappointing in the food area, and that was 6 out of 6 of us.

Excellent casual dining. We've been here many times and never had anything that we wouldn't order again, from their steaks, to pizza, to dinner, burgers, soups and salads. It is one of our favorite places to get together with family and friends, they accomadate large groups. Nice to go with or without the kids.    [12 Mar 2006 18:57:09]

Better than ever

Great Place
I live on Zukey Lake. Sunday I had the Breakfast Buffet with Omelet station for only $7.95. It also had a fruit and salad bar. It was great. Went back Monday night and had a Filet Mignon dinner for only $9.95.    [18 Feb 2007 17:22:37]

Zukey Lake Tavern
I have been going to Zukey Lake Tavern for many years. I remember standing in line for an hour just to get a table. With the new addition, the wait is not as long (especially during busy times). With the new addition came an incredible chef. The menu with the old ZLT was great - best bar burgers in the business. The new chef, Mike Diantonio, has an imagination with fish cuisine that I have never seen.

The dishes are imaginative and unique. Check them out on Friday and Saturdy nights.

Many of the lunch specials are interesting. There is nothing in this part of Livingston County to compare.

When you visit ZLT, the wait staff is one of the best in the County.

I work at ZLT. I also eat there. The Kitchen is clean, the food is great and innovative. The Staff is loyal to ZLT. Not every restaurant can say this. I would not trust a restaurant where the staff doesn't eat. I highly recommend this restaurant for it's food and the classiness of it's staff.    [07 Apr 2007 00:13:30]

Pizza used to be the best
What happened? Has been awful the last 3 times we were there. Pizza is different. Can't quite pin it down just not nearly as good as it used to be. Has little flavor. What and why did it change????? Too bad.    [23 Apr 2007 13:43:35]

Foods not as good as it used to be
Love the view, love the remodel job, love the parking lot. Bartenders have no personality, the drinks are bad (I think its their "mix"), food is "okay", used to eat there all time, but until they get some new meat, we won't be back.    [28 Apr 2007 17:04:03]

Overrated
If you changed the name and history, nobody would go. I've been there several times and each time gets more dissapointing!! I'm looking elsewhere in Pinckney.

Lunch Was Great
I stopped in and tried the 'Pizza Buffet' lunch - all you can eat pizza (small slices) with quite a decent salad bar that included cole slaw and a macaroni salad, as well as two soups and breadsticks. The pizza was OK, although it tasted like they used parmagian cheese mixed in, which I don't like on a pizza. Otherwise it was pretty good. The lettuce was very fresh and had a good mix of romaine and iceberg varieties, and a some spinach leaves, too. Excellent selection of dressings.
