Don't mistake this for a tearoom, despite its location tucked away next to an antique shop in the heart of boutique-filled Plymouth. Its quiet, soothing atmosphere is actually the very antithesis of the upbeat, noisy brasserie. - CitySearch - suggest change

Fine Dining Indeed I highly recommend Cafe Bon Homme if you appreciate the typical European dining experience. Characterized by, wonderful ambiance, beautiful presentation, plentiful entrees, (Don't expect oversized American portions) fine premium red wines to accent the meal, well educated servers on the art of serving, leaving you and your companion to enjoy your meal at your pace. A Wonderful Evening A group of six of us ate dinner at Cafe Bon Homme in August 2003 and we had a wonderful evening. The food was outstanding and the service as well. One of us is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and he pointed out why everything was superb and the only flaw he noted that the risotto wasn't as good as it should be. We had the veal, the chilean sea bass, the rack of lamb and the duck at our table and enjoyed them all. We tried two appetizers and three desserts as well and found them to be very delectable. Over all I left feeling like I had the fanciest meal of my life and my tongue danced the entire time. [19 Aug 2003 17:14:16]

Good but expensive We had a wonderful dinner here (Jan 2004)... but if you like this place you will like another place in Ann Arbor downtown even better! Thats what we felt after our dinner.
The food was great (but not much choice for vegetarian - I had only one vegetarian entree to choose from). The service was excellent, the ambience was nice. But we felt the other place is comparable or even better in all these. Cafe Bon Homme was more quiet, but we were there on a weekday. [23 Jan 2004 12:22:33]

The Best since to Ponchatraine Wine Celler closed Outstanding French style cuisine. Since the old Parisian style restaurant have passed on, I look forward to finding a restaurant where one still might find haute cuisine of yesterday. Este, este, este, this is the place. [19 Jan 2006 23:32:23]

Horrible! First Mistake: We were stuck at a table that hid my date behind a corner and could hear the conversation of the table next to us, seeing as it was within an arms lenghth. When we asked to move we were made to bring over our own settings, wine glasses, water glasses, etc. We were not brought menus, the wine was served in what appeared to be a shot glass, and the forty dollars for our entree was a tad pricey for the 2 oz. Beef Wellinton I received. Maybe that was to cover the single asparagus spear and lone carrot, I don't know. Slow service aggrediously over-priced, I would never go back. Patrons beware! It still is an outstanding restaurant I return to Cafe Bon Homme a few time a year, This time when making reservations I was informed that the food was to be served bistro style.
After completing the dinner I was just as satisfied as in the past. Even though the menu was limited to five items and two specials, everything we ate was outstanding.
I look forwward to our next meal at the Cafe. [19 Jul 2007 07:07:07]
