What's a Fingerling? Whatever it is, it was tasty and delicious! We went to Cafe Muse to have brunch to celebrate a friend's birthday. There were four of us. I chose the Buttermilk Pancakes with an apple and pear Compote. The pancakes were thin, buttery, light and when combined with the compote, it was melt in your mouth fantastic. It was garnished with fresh fruit and just filling enough without being overwhelming.
Another friend had the Salmon Scramble. She describes it as, "The Salmon, which is cured, not cooked was a perfect addition to the light, fluffy eggs, which were seasoned perfectly. It was accompanied by a fresh fruit garnish and wonderous fingerlings, which coincedently tasted very much like a potato, but better. If I had to choose it would be fingerlings all the way.
The last thing we will describe, has to be the signature dessert. A flourless chocolate cake, used as the base for a creamy and rich traditional style cheesecake, and then iced with a chocolate ganauch. Pure genious. In all, an extremely reasonable priced meal, with great service in a light and airy environment. [10 Jul 2006 11:55:06]

Perfection! I have been to this restaurant so far only twice and will without a doubt be going back many more times! The restaurant itself is darling and provides for the perfect cafe atmosphere! The service is wonderful and the owners (who always go out of their way to speak with and greet their guests) are to be commended.
I have had the chicken salad sandwich .... which combines the homeyness of such a choice but with a little extra pizazz that is found in the added touch of dried cherries - yum! The potato chips are to die for and are simply the best I have ever had - EVER (and I'm not much of a potato chip person!!)
A friend of mine has had the salmon scramble which I have also tried and it is consistently fabulous. Also their soups are wonderful as well. Oh and definitely try the chai tea latte - you'll never want to drink Starbucks or Panera again!! The fun part of this restaurant is getting to experiment with new dishes!! I haven't had the chance to try the deserts but they always look terrific
If you are ever in the area definitely stop at Cafe Muse - you won't regret it! [13 Dec 2006 17:09:42]
