Ida Reds Saugatuck Michigan Food was great.....awesome eggs and pan cakes. Sometimes they only have 2 servers and 1 of them has no personality. As there menu says if you don't want to wait for your food you know where to go. Well, it's not the food you wait for it's getting a table at all. You can't move tables with 2 servers.
Then there might be a 6 top empty and two 2 tops and the waitress sits 2 at the 6 top. While there were 5 of us waiting for 30 minutes already. It was the clients who realized it and moved to the 2 top themselves. They don't think much as far as turning tables. This is why when we use to go there we would wait for an hour or more. As the menu says you know where to go...and thats what we noticed most have done. Gone elsewhere. If they only had more attentive servers this place would be the best. But they have 2 people serving a breakfast bar, small inside area and outside. Anyone would know thats not enough. [18 Sep 2006 11:24:42]

Ida Red's is the best A trip to West Michigan always, always, includes a trip to Ida Red's for breakfast. They must whip their scrambled eggs in cream because they are oh so good. Their cottage fries are the best and sausage is "farm fresh." What they are really go at is multi-grain pancakes.
Go early (they open at 8:00) because the "beautiful people" will show up at 9:00 and that will force a wait. Waiting is not fun. [31 Oct 2007 19:28:06]
