Bad Italian
On our jaunt of area restaurants, we went as a group to Da Francesco's because it was recommended to us. They had the worst sauce I have ever tasted. I think jar sauce even tastes better and I won't eat that either. Gnocchis were gummy and tasted like balls of flour. Real Italian
This is my favorite restaurant! We have been eating here for years and it has always been great. For an appetizer try the calamari - a huge plateful, very tender, with a delicious sauce. The only dish I don't like is the fettuccini alfredo - the sauce is bland. My favorite meals are the chicken marsala and the shrimp a'la domenico. Good food, not so good service
After several visits, I think service is the primary shortcoming. Waitstaff should know the menu items thoroughly and should keep in touch with diners, explain delays, resupply basics like butter, coffee cream, heat or reheat coffee, and the like. Spectacular

Very poor service. I found butter in the dish that had food on it as if they remove them from plates and return them for other patrons use. I had lipstick on my coffee cup. What else could have gone wrong? The server was more into flirtation than her job. I would not recommend this place anyone.    [25 Mar 2008 10:24:36]
