Poor service, SLOW cooks Our group of 10 waited well over an hour after placing our order, when we asked the owner, she said 'well sometimes it takes that long', and ignored us the rest of the evening. We were going to pay for our drinks and appetizers, then leave, and the waitress threatened to call the cops on us. On top of that, the food wasn't even that great. Poor food, poor service, poor management. The live band was okay though. 1 out of 5 stars. [24 Aug 2005 13:29:40]

Great Food & Fun Atmosphere! My husband and I went on a weekend trip to South Haven and the Inn Keeper where we stayed had told us about Harborside Bistro. We thought we would try it out, we waited only 10 minutes or so for our table, then we were seated with a view of the water. We were entertained by a man singing and playing a guitar, he took requests and it was fun!
It didn't take a really long time for our food to come and man it was good! We ordered the blueberry cobbler for dessert (you have to order it when you order your meal because it takes time to bake) and we were totally satisfied when we walked out the door! It was a Saturday night and it was pretty busy too. [25 Apr 2006 20:51:43]

Chef Donald is fantastic, the baramundi is excellent along with the beer battered shrimp. The grill is to die for. Actually the complete ambiance is extraordinarily organized, anyone and everyone will enjoy their dinnig experience.

A Must-eat for us! I love this place. My lunch favorite is the crab-cake sandwich, and it is a must-eat for our annual girl's weekend. We start with martini's and end with the filet with mashed potatoes. Yum! My husband had one problem with very slow service, but that was during an off-peak time of year. We've eaten here at least a dozen times, and if you can be a bit forgiving with the service now and then ... the food has always been pleasurable. [04 Jun 2008 15:23:05]

Delish and Yum-O! We visited Harborside on a Saturday evening during prime-time tourist season. We had no wait to be seated, even though it was in the middle of dinner time! Not only were we delighted with the friendly waitstaff, our food was very good as well. We recommend the Blueberry cobbler, beer battered onion rings, fish, and even the salads! There was live entertainment which was pleasant, not overpowering. We look forward to returning! [22 Jul 2008 14:35:48]
