Doesn't live up to the hype Restaurant was dark, outdated, smokey. Pizza was OK, but not as good as my favorite take out place. Lasagna was decent. Ample size, nice texture, but looked better than it tasted. Not very flavorful.
A lot of people rave about Del's. They are very busy on the weekends. But I can't for the life of me figure out why. Once you've experienced good food, you then have something to compare other dishes to. In my book, Del's is listed in the "it's something to eat" section. [22 May 2006 10:00:45]

53 years and still the best around Del's has been around for 53 years, so its a given that they are doing something right, and that is pizza and pasta.
Always tasty, never skimpy on the portions, a great hometown place where you walk in and feel like a friend. [24 Nov 2006 21:49:32]

Probably the worst dining experience of my life! My family and I went to this establishment on a Saturday evening. I am normally a fan of small, independent restaurants, with an Applebee’s or Chili’s on every corner it is nice to go somewhere with character. Unfortunately this particular restaurant left such a bad impression that I found myself wishing I had gone to Pizza Hut. The evening started off on a bad note when the pitchers of cola we ordered were completely flat, we might have mentioned it to the waitress except for the fact that we had already heard her use profanity to describe other diners who had mentioned this to her.
The flat cola aside, we were still looking forward to our dinner. The breadsticks we ordered were very good. It seemed that our pizza was taking an exceptionally long time and we soon discovered why. The waitress brought out pizza to us from another table where it has been sitting with other diners for around 10 minutes. She explained that the other diners had not touched it so it was fine for us to eat, when asked how long it would take to make us another she simply said a long time. Since my brother in law and I are not the pickiest of people and this pizza was for us we accepted it.
The other pizza we ordered for my sisters and mother did not arrive at this time. After we finished the first pizza, our second pizza arrived, this pizza had the wrong toppings, and the waitress was once again swearing under her breath due to the fact that we would not accept the wrong pizza. At this point, the cook who I can only assume was also the manager came to our table and apologized and took our order and told us it would be 5 minutes for the correct pizza to be made. 10 minutes later she brought the pizza out to us.
By this time we were finished with this meal and asked for it to be wrapped up. When we received our bill, I had expected that due to the complete ineptitude of the staff some consolation would have been made, but alas we were charged for everything from the stale, flat cola to the second hand pizza. We paid the exact amount of our bill (to the penny) and left.
I can honestly say that that was one of the worst dining experiences of my life and I will never visit that establishment again. I will also pass this story along to anyone I know who even thinks of visiting this establishment. [24 Mar 2007 18:44:45]
