TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
If there was an option to give ZERO stars, I would. I've been a loyal customer of The Grind for years, and until today, I was ALWAYS pleased with their service. A group of friends and I went into the building, and only two of us intended to order. Sorry, but the other six weren't thirsty. We planned to order, get our drinks, and leave, that was all. We weren't being loud, or rude, or obnoxious. We weren't in anyone's way, and we definitely weren't expecting to be treated badly. The two guys working behind the counter were extremely rude. First, they took our orders (again, only two of us were ordering), and made our drinks. Then, when they realized that the other six didn't want to order, and were quietly standing aside, waiting for our drinks to be made so we could leave, they started being rude. First, the cashier told said "each and every one of you has to order a drink, or you all can't stay in here." Okay, it makes sense. They don't want to have a bunch of people hanging out in there and taking up room of potentially PAYING customers. I totally understand that, but holy hell, the cashier's tone was rude. The six of our friends who WEREN'T ordering left the building and sat at a table outside, for, heaven forbid, a minute (probably less), while the barista made our drinks. When we finally got our cups, the cashier was AGAIN rude. He yelled, as we were walking out, "if they don't all buy drinks, you can't stay outside at the tables, either!" Again, we weren't planning to. They were simply waiting for us outside, rather than inside because the cashier was so rude to them originally. As we were walking out, I just said to the cashier, "you know, if you're gonna keep being so rude, none of us will ever come back" and he yells "that's a good thing!" and I wasn't joking. I've been going to this place for YEARS, and never, not ONCE have I ever been treated to badly by their employees.    [04 Jun 2007 22:29:01]
