Lobster & Broiled Shrimp
When at this restaurant May 18th I and my husband ordered the special Lobster & Broiled shrimp. It was really bad. The shrimp was steamed and so was the lobster. I sent it back, they then brought it back the very same way in watery butter in a skillet pan. I asked the waitress how they were cooking this. She said steamed. I told her I didn't want it steamed, I wanted it broiled. I don't think the cook knows how to broil anything. I have been there several times before and had wonderful food (what happened?). I was so disapointed to drive 23 miles. I do hope things change there. Emily    [20 May 2003 13:55:26]

Nice
We have been to this restaurant several times. We always find the service and food very good. Generally those in my parties have selected steak or prime rib which are very good. They have a house salad that is a favorite of many. It is definitely a place where you can bring your kids -- hopefully well-behaved.    [31 Dec 2003 19:49:37]

Steak & such
The steaks were done perfectly for our crowd of 15 people. Nice atmosphere, and great service as well. I am going back soon.    [14 Mar 2004 21:39:31]

I love the Vineyard! I was there tonight, I want to know how to make "The Salad"! The food was great, as always. You cannot leave there hungry. There is plenty to eat, and the prices are not high!    [18 Apr 2004 04:18:26]

Vineyard -- Very Good
I together with various others have gone to the Vineyard at least a couple of times a year for several years now. We have always had excellent service and food. I happen to prefer a normal tossed sald with their blue cheese dressing (very good) but others often prefer "The Salad" which is a specialty of the house and defies description -- I even agree that it is also very good. It is a place you can bring the whole family and find something good to eat.    [16 Dec 2005 21:59:20]

My New Favorite Restaurant
I'm a crustacean fanatic so when I saw the sign "Steak and Lobster: $16.95" I slammed on the brakes. I was amazed at the decor: it's a very nicely decorated place. The staff was delightful, the wine list was impressive and the food was heavenly! I had the petite lobster tails (six of them) and the Dungeness crab combo for $18.95 which was a lot of seafood!    [03 Jan 2006 15:38:58]

Humiliating
My husband and I received $50 in gift certificates at Christmas for The Vineyard. Because we had both lost our jobs one year ago, and things have been very stressful, we were excited to be able to go out for a change. My husband had a wonderful steak but my shrimp was very small and under-cooked. Our bill came to $46 so we used all the certificates (you don't get cash back). When the waitress saw our tip of $5, she said, "let me just count your certificates". She counted them at our table and then loudly exclaimed, "you don't get money back, and neither do I!" She was not happy with her tip and the whole thing was very embarrassing. I am sorry that we couldn't give her another couple of dollars, but $5 was all we had.    [29 Dec 2006 11:49:56]
