Clean it up!
Live in area & have been in several times over past two years. Will not go again- it's filty, high school kids service is poor, food is not inpressive. The condition & filth of the place really made my skin crawl.    [02 Jul 2002 19:32:58]

Basic breakfast joint, but nothing special
I wish I could like this place more... Instead, I find myself driving to Wayzata any time I want a nice hot breakfast. I swear it smells like someone is smoking in here all the time. What I wouldn't do for this place to be a nice Pankcake House or the like.    [21 May 2006 17:19:12]

Wonderful gathering place...
I have breakfast with friends regularly at the Hilltop. It's unpretentious, and the food is always great. They make fantastic pancakes. I always try to get a booth looking out on Christmas Lake. I've been to the Hilltop many times, and have never been disappointed. The wait staff is very efficient and pleasant.    [21 Sep 2006 22:59:15]

Mom & Pop Style
Basic short order family restaurant from the 50s/60s. Decor is dated and could use a bit more dusting. People are very nice and down home. The kind of place you go a few times and they know your name. Lunch food was OK but not great. NOT scratch cooking. Prices are very reasonable.    [03 Sep 2007 14:49:35]
