I Love Zanz
I love Zanz. I live in Brainerd and I drive there about once a month just to eat there. I spend about 30.00 every time I am there. Yes, the place is outdated and the prices are horrible but I just can't stop eating it.    [31 Mar 2004 21:46:51]

Zanz is great!
Just like the reviews before, yes Zanz is outdated & not too fancy. But the food is great! They have excellent weekday specials & quick service. Sure they aren't professional waitpersons, but they get the job done! Something has to be said about a business that's been there for decades! Both the mild & hot chilitos are worth getting uncooked so you can take them home for snacking. The Mucho Tostadas are better than any tostadas in town!    [09 Dec 2005 21:59:51]

Sure Zanz is outdated, but why should you be concentrating on the building if you're eating. I've been eating there ever since I was 9 and the food has never let me down. Plus they serve Pepsi which is a bonus.    [21 Nov 2006 18:17:36]

Zanz Rocks!
Once I found out about Zanz this summer, I've gone back many times. The mild cheese chilitos with a stripe of hot sauce down the middle are unbeatable. Although the service can get sketchy at times, it is great if you go there a lot because you get to know the people. The building may be worn down, but it makes the experience. Don't be driven away by the dirty appearance, because I have never gotten sick from Zanz food. I recommend the food very much so, and it is worth the experience.    [28 Dec 2007 00:58:37]

Wasn't this a Zantigo's
I went to college in Mankato and we would go to Zanz all the time. I think their food is kind of a left over Zantigo's menu. Chili Cheese Chilito and the Mucho Tostada are part of the Zantigo menu and ZANZ. It is great food. Look at Zantigo on the web and you will see the similarity.    [17 Jan 2008 17:22:51]

Torn
I refused to go into this restaurant for SO long, but once I started to date my boyfriend we always HAD to go. Im not a huge fan but ALL of my friends seem to think that they cannot live without Zanz Cheese Chilitos(mild, the hot are not good) ! I have had them and they are good, not amazing to me like everyone else thinks though. The other thing I have had their is their tostadas...they are pretty good. I would recommend just TRYING the food here because if you forget about the looks of the place you might actually love it.    [06 May 2008 12:33:24]
