Wish I'd Gone to McDonalds! Ciatti's at 4:30 on Sunday. Hardly any customers but still service was painfully slow. Paper tablecovers? What's that all about. We told the server it made the place look cheesy - she agreed but made no offer to remove it. Food is adequate - service is poor - ambiance is poor. Should have gone to McDonalds . . . Young Waitstaff The food is over priced, mediocre and the service is terrible. I was just in there on a Tuesday and there were plenty of open tables but was told that it would be a 10 min wait for non smoking. We left and went to Tiramisu. [22 Aug 2002 12:19:34]

Excellent Experience It was very busy when we walked in on a Saturday evening at 7:00pm, however we still got seated in a reasonable amount of time. The atmosphere of this newly remodeled restaurant was perfect. The food was exceptional, the drinks were strong, and a slice of chocolate cake was like an entire cake in itself. Our waitress Sarah was right on top of everything, but what we noticed most of all was that all the wait staff were running around like bees had a genuine smile on their faces. Great Job!!! Somedays, only somedays This is a restaurant that is very busy, but can be very pleasing to the customer...occassionally. This restaurant is good on somedays, and others are not so well. I have been here a few times in the past year, and every time the server's would seat you quickly, but they only periodically check on the guest to see if the food was good, if you needed a drink or could be helped with anything else. The consistency of the service needs to be picked up somewhat and then it will be on the top side of sit-down restaurants in the area. The food is always good and the drinks are always made to exact perfection. The guest just wants to feel more appreciated. [07 Dec 2002 13:03:19]

Poor Service The food was good but the service was very poor. We had a party of 4 and received 3 meals, the 4th meal came 20-25 minutes later after talking to the waitress 3 times. I personally feel she never put in the order as she came back on the 3rd visit to as how the steak should be cooked. I believe a bigger discount than taking $5 off the bill was warranted or even a free meal. I would not recommend going back there. I could see if there was a problem in the kitchen but this was the waitresses' fault. Also, for an Italian restaurant it is a little overpriced. [16 Dec 2002 14:00:16]

Excellent Service in Falcon Heights I was taken to Ciatti's for my birthday and had a very enjoyable experience. I had never been to Ciatti's before so I didn't know what to expect. The atmosphere was very nice and soothing. The waitstaff were on top of their game and the food was excellent. Although some of their items are higher end in price, most of the dishes are VERY reasonably priced and comparable to prices at the Olive Garden. [17 Feb 2003 16:46:33]

This IS better than McDonald's We went here last year for prom and it was a great place. There were 26 of us and we all got served quickly and the staff was so helpful. Maybe if people weren't so impatient, this is a sit down restaurant. The food is not expensive. What do you expect, it is a classier restaurant. [20 Mar 2003 11:11:29]

Very poor service and food This was quite possibly the worst eating experience ever. Above and beyond the still half frozen lasagna that I was served, the constant humming of house flys in the dining area made it hard to eat the overpriced food. Thank goodness there is an olive garden going in next year in Woodbury. Watch the croutons, they were made from the bread left on the tables the night before. [07 Jun 2003 19:09:32]

Brown Seafood Canneloni anyone? I ordered the Seafood Cannelloni and it smelled horribly fishy and disgusting. It tasted just as fishy. The rest of the meals were served cold. Our server was actually quite nice and apologetic for everything that went on that night, unfortunately she got the manager involved. He was extremely rude and told me that I need to be a seafood lover to like this dish. I said my shrimp is brown! He spoke over me and was obnoxious. We're aren't going back. [09 Mar 2004 14:05:35]

can't accept gift certificates??? i have been trying to use up gift certificates purchased from maplewood (now closed) in vain. it seems to me if the certificate says *CIATTI'S* it should be honored. Tried to use it while maplewood was closed for no reason posted other than remodeling. Go back and it's a pizza place. I would think if a fan of ciatti's kept going back, they would be honored, but no. I really liked the place, but due to the horrible customer loyalty, probably won't. I would really like a respomse from customer service, might even call the better business bureau; this is not nice. [15 Mar 2005 20:33:25]
