Want Japanese? Not here!
I love Japanese food, especially hibachi steak and chicken. I'm from St. Louis where we have several excellent Japanese restaurants. On our trip to Branson we went to this restaruant. (We should have gone to the OTHER Shogun restaurant just down the street.) Atmosphere here was poor; food was terrible and very salty. Caucasian Missouri-native Redneck "chef" completed the experience.    [26 Oct 2005 22:32:18]

Don't eat at the sushi bar!
I sat at the sushi bar at Shogun this evening and ordered sushi for dinner. The chef behind the sushi counter was incredibly rude and acted annoyed that he had to make sushi for my friend and me. I wanted a to custom order a roll so I picked a roll off of the menu that had the ingredients I wanted and asked the chef to tempura fry it. He responded as if I was stupid. He shook his head at me and asked several condescending questions making it apparent that he thought I didn't understand what I was ordering. I was very offended by his actions and will not eat at Shogun again. This was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in years. On a more positive note, if you are in Branson and want sushi, I would recommend the Sushi House. (I had planned to eat there, but they had run out of sushi rice, which is why I ended up at Shogun in the first place).    [13 Aug 2006 01:37:28]
