The Perfect Place
Chevys Fresh Mex is not only my favorite place to go with my friends, but it is a great place for families as well. The happy hour prices are great, especially when you're talking about the best tasting margaritas ever! The atmosphere is fun. If you haven't had their salsa you haven't lived. If you have not been to Chevys you must go now but do not try one in St. Louis. It has to be the Columbia location - they are the best!    [20 Jun 2003 18:04:19]

Not Impressed

Vegetarian Friendly
Portions were larger than expected. The salsa should be award-winning if it has not already done so. The staff seem to be well-trained and eager to ensure patrons happiness. The chips and salsa get filled quick if it is communicated to the servers. I have yet to experience a mediocre or anything less than a good experience during the 20+ times that I have been to the Columbia location. I was impressed with the somewhat stout mixed drinks, the margaritas in particular. The fish of the day is acceptable considering it is not their specialty.    [13 Feb 2004 19:34:08]

The best restaurant in town!
Chevy's is by far one of the best restaurants in Columbia. The food is delicious and the portions are HUGE! The happy hour is fantastic! The service is WONDERFUL!    [09 Aug 2005 16:11:36]

Great Salsa/Lousy quesadillas
Fun atmosphere...great salsa which is fresh every day and worth buying to take with you.

Fresh flour tortillas are delicious, but quesadillas are disappointing--go for the fajitas!

The "tomalito," a sweet corn side dish should be added to any meal, but you may have to order it separately!    [19 Oct 2006 13:40:43]
