Still Good Eatin'
It seems everyone in southeast Missouri knows about Fiddlers Fish House, and for good reason. From their signature catfish and frog legs (see their logo) to prime rib au jus and chargrilled steaks, Fiddlers has some of the best food around. The overall quality was better when owned by Marilyn Williams, but it's still worth a trip from as far away as Cape Girardeau or Farmington. One suggestion: I'd rather have the same size fillets for a little more money than smaller fillets at the same price.    [19 Sep 2001 14:17:33]

Fiddlers' Gone Downhill
I lived in Dexter in the mid 80's, and Fiddlers Fish House was the only restaurant in town I went to every week without fail. I loved their catfish, frog legs and New York steak. I just visited there a few weeks ago after moving out of state about 10 years ago, and I can't believe how downhill things have gotten there. The catfish fillets are half the size they were in the 80's, the buffet's a joke, and the service sucks. I won't be going back. Do yourself a favor: don't bother going to Fiddlers in Dexter. The best fish and chicken and seafood in the tri-state
I was just at Fiddlers Fish House on Sat with a few friends of mine. Some had the buffet. It was great for the good price and the fish and chicken was the best I have had from Las Vegas to Memphis. My girl had a seafood and would not shut up how great the shrimp was. I would suggest if you are in the area make the stop at Fiddlers in Dexter.
