Great & Amazing
Next to the Bar-B-Q in KC I travel about 500 miles and this is the best pizza anywhere. Area dining guides often name d'Bronx one of the best delis not just in this town, but in any town in the country. Ask d'Bronx devotees why, and you'll get answers as varied as their appetites. Some swear it's the near-perfect reuben, or one of the other sandwiches hot off the grill. Other folks will tell you it's the d'Bronx sub, a cold sandwich mix of meats and cheeses, or one of the 20 other subs on the menu. More than a couple people insist it's the deli-style pizza, available by the slice or by the pie (up to a 30-inch monster size). Even vegetarians find lots to rave about. And pretty much everyone agrees that the apple pie is a good way to finish off a meal. Figure in the reasonable prices and the big-city deli atmosphere of the 39th Street location, and you've got the makings of a winner.    [15 Mar 2004 17:14:47]

Almost Like Home
Growing up in Queens, NY, I got to eat some of the best pizza in the world. I've traveled to many countries and many states since then and this is the closest I've had to real New York Pizza. The atmosphere is just like home. If your looking for a Fancy place this isn't it. If you want great food it is.    [10 Mar 2006 20:05:00]

Great Pizza
They claim to have New York-style pizza. While it's certainly not as thin as real NY-style pizza, it definitely is good. The place has a nice atmosphere and a friendly staff. They are known for their 30" pizza pies ($45-75), which are large enough to feed a family for at least a couple of days, but they also sell their pizza by the slice ($2.85 - $4.95 per slice). Their menu says about their pizza: "may take 16-20 minutes, but worth the wait" and I would agree with that. Of all pizzas in Kansas City, this is my favorite one so far.    [06 Nov 2009 10:36:40]
