This is defintely the best Chinese buffet in St. Louis. Numerous reader polls prove this year after year. Closed on Monday. Always expect a busy lunch crowd. The food is hot and fresh on the buffet table. [19 Dec 1999 07:32:39]

The Very Best Chinese Buffet on this PLANET Plenty of fried shrimp makes this place the best buffet I have ever been to; not the shrimp you may expect on a buffet that is over breaded... there is no breading whatwoever! They are fried, shell on and you can easily eat the cost of the buffet in shrimp alone... everything else is superb as well... I consider myself to be a chinese buffet expert, and this is the best I've ever been to! [31 Mar 2002 11:02:29]

The best Chinese buffet in the world! I am a New Yorker. I love Chinese food. With that said, this is the best Chinese buffet anywhere. Whenever visiting St. Louis I make the pilgrimage to Happy China. It is simply the best tasting, most plentiful and cleanest all-you-can-eat sanctuary anywhere. [30 Dec 2002 17:59:47]

Best Quality and Widest Selection I'm guessing 60-70 items of the best Chinese food in town. If you can't find it here, you probably don't want it! This is a staple for our family, and we take out of town visitors here regularly. Lots of attention from the staff too! [19 Mar 2003 16:38:44]

I am disappointed :( I came to Happy buffet after I read this site. But, I was disappointed after i try this buffet tonight (Sunday, November 28, 2004). The first time we read the name "HAPPY BUFFET" with HA : blinking (not working), and then, we enter a dark and small room of restaurant, we became wonder, "is it a good buffet as I read on this site?" They have a lot of menu, but they forget to serve some manu that always be in every buffet in this planet. Crab leg, Steam Shrimp, Salmon, and the last, Ice cream. Those menu not delicious. Most of them too sour. Hard to bite (becareful with those who have weak teeth). hhhh... Out of that, the ambiance is very bad. Happy buffet is an old place, i think, and they never refresh itu. They only have one long table, and 2 small table to serve. They even only have one place to put the plates. So you have to turn around if you got seat far from the plates. Seems they add more menu without more space. So they put those food above one each other. They also full every dish abundance. Some of food fall to another dish. :( Also, they don't put tag name of the food. So we have to ask before take. And the last that made me completely disappointed is : when we paid, the cassier look bad. No smile, no 'Have a good night', no nothing. Only A very Cold "Thank You".
Ah, I wonder how they get "The best buffet for 4 year from Time St Louis"
If you guys love buffet, you better come to Wang Buffet, very small but delicious and they have a good ambiance. Or, come to the bigger one : Chinese Buffet and Grill, Those are in the Hwy K.
Or, this is the best buffet I ever come : Buffet City 1308 Clarkson Clayton Center Ellisville, MO 63011 636-230-0999
