Another fine Italian restaurant... I've had the pleasure of dining at Bruno's several times and recently had one of the best dishes I've tried in a long time. The Salsicca Con Funghi is a mildly seasoned sausage smothered in a rich, brown mushroom gravy and served with seasoned red potatoes. It was absolutely wonderful and the upstairs bartender has recently convinced the management to carry Australian Shiraz in addition to their fine selection of Italian wines.
Bruno's gnocchi and pizzas are also very good. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is consistently above average.
One drawback, the downstairs can be a little noisy on the weekends. If so, a walk upstairs will provide you with a quieter table. [15 Apr 2007 21:42:48]

Good restaurant, great wine bar Bruno's is a lovely restaurant that feels authentic and warm. The pizzas are all delicious, and the ragu is a favorite of my boyfriend - in fact he orders nearly every visit. I am not wild about their pasta dishes. However, the transcendent beauty of the tiramasu more than makes up for that. The wine bar upstairs is one of the best kept secrets in Springfield, even from locals. Great atmosphere - sophistocated, but not stuffy; relaxing, romantic. They have a good wine list, consisting mostly of Italian wines. Service both upstairs and in the restaurant is always excellent.
