One of Springfield's Finest... Flame offers a fine dining experience with an excellent menu, one of the best wine lists in town, romantic atmosphere, and wonderful service. I've been to Flame at least a half-dozen times in the last twelve months and it's almost always been a real pleasure. Flame specializes in aged-beef steaks and a few select seafood items such as Alaskan Crab Legs, Wild Salmon Oscar, and Smoked Trout. Their dry-aged steaks are most excellent and even their ala carte and appetizer menu serves up such dishes as Lobster Macaroni, Oysters Rockefeller, Beef Sashimi, and Smoked Duck Sausage.
Their wine list is quite extensive and located downstairs is their full-service bar, The Red Room Lounge, which offers a significant martini selection and a warm, romantic atmosphere. (The pictures on their website just doesn't do it justice.) The Jungle Boogie Martini is a personal favorite.
Service is generally excellent, so much so, that on the rare occassion when it's not quite up to par, you really notice it. Overall, I'd say that 85% of the time the servers provide an enjoyable dining experience.
Flame's dessert menu is limited and could be improved. Overall, Flame is probably one of the top five restaurants in Springfield. Highly recommended. [23 Dec 2006 16:12:24]
