Good Beer - Bad Food
Recently tried a grilled swordfish special at lunch with a friend. We both sent the fish back. It was like trying to eat a tennis ball. The fried bar foods are ok and the burgers are fair. Stay away for the fancy specials here.    [15 Apr 2006 12:38:06]

Awesome place, for any occasion!!!
I have been here for Christmas, graduation, and birthday parties. The place is great for large groups. Wedding receptions are also nice here. The food is wonderful, the atmosphere is fantastic. I highly recommend the fish. I love the yellow fin tuna steak with a cobb salad. The fried fish and chips is wonderful as well. Let us not forget the beer. You have to try their sampler. Try a shot of everything before you pick your favorite. The historical Springfield pictures on the wall really take you back. The pool tables and bands are always great fun. The service is really good. One tip, try the balcony in warmer weather. It's a great place to relax.    [08 May 2006 09:40:46]

Great Place for a Party
I hosted a surprise birthday party at SGF Brewing Company and they did a great job. The buffet food was excellent and the wait staff was terrific. It was a fun place for a large group of friends to celebrate!!    [08 Apr 2007 12:45:06]
