Food - delicious, different, interesting presentation, good variety
Ambience - wonderful, historic building, has warmth and class, clean. Restrooms really nice/clean.Has pleasant outdoor seating.
Service - friendly, courteous, helpful, warm, prompt
We are heartily recommending American Bounty to friends/family. Can't wait to go back!
Setting - beautiful, in historic section of Washington, directly across from the river. Scenic.Romantic.Relaxing jazz music inside restaurant.The only complaint is: our table was a bit wobbly, but the server caught it partway through our meal and took care of it.    [27 Jan 2004 10:51:36]

What a GREAT Meal (and ambiance)
My Wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary at the American Bounty in Washington, MO and we had a delightful evening.

The service was fabulous, the wine was superb and the food was very impressive.

What has happened to Bounty?
Shabby: Entrance dirty-dead plants.
Men's Room needs paint & drywall repair.
Dining Room carpet frayed with holes.
Service: Very slow and inattentive.
Food: Not up to this restaurant's usual high standards. My steak ordered med. rare came with outside hard, black and burnt to a crisp. If there was crab in my wife's crab cakes, She couldn't tell. Side dishes bland. Too bad.    [08 Jul 2004 14:03:08]

Great Food, Superior Service
Sometimes repeat visits are not as you remembered. Not the case with The American Bounty. Our server, Kate, was most gracious and efficient. The dishes were prepared to perfection and served in a timely manner. We will be back.    [31 Jan 2005 09:46:04]

Lousy
Steak had so much grizzle you couldn't eat it. Apple Tart was burnt, but they didn't charge us for it. Meatballs were hard as rocks.    [13 Aug 2006 19:24:41]
