Disappointing experience from a popular chain
KFC is known literally all over the world as the place to go for fast food fried chicken. As with any fast food chain, service can be hit or miss. On my recent visit, it was a big miss.

This location features a buffet, which my dining partner wanted to get. However, upon entering, we were disappointed to see the buffet, which is small, was very poorly stocked. There were only a few pieces of chicken and a few picked over sides.

She decided to order off the menu instead. While mulling over our choices, several people went ahead of us. One couple recieved prompt service, but another did not and had to wait several minutes. After they ordered, we also had to wait several minutes for someone to take our order.

Several more minutes elapsed before our food arrived. It appeared that one person was having to take the order and then go into the kitchen to actually prepare it.

Besides being slow, the people were not at all friendly, barely acknowledging our presence. We spent the time watching the drive-thru back up during this off-peak time.

Usually when forced to wait at a fried chicken restaurant, it means fresh food is being prepared. Not so in this case. The Twister Wrap we ordered, while not appearing totally fresh was still good; the accompanying potato wedges were cold and mushy.

The one bright point would have to be the sweet tea, which was sweet and refreshing.

Perhaps the worst attribute of this experience was that the dining area was unclean and very hot. It was actually noticeably warmer inside than out, which made for an even more uncomfortable experience.

Although this is only one experience, it doesn't reflect well on the chain or this location. Considering there is another competing chain just down the street, they really should be trying harder.    [15 Mar 2007 13:11:27]
