Great Italian Food in Clinton Our server was great; she was so funny and personable. I had the special of the night which was very good. My wife ordered her usual favorite crawfish and shrimp alfredo. We have never had a bad meal at Franco's, and always look forward to going. Just wish we lived closer; we make the trip from Madison about twice a month. [25 Mar 2007 21:56:21]

Couldn't agree more The previous reviewer was right on the money about Franco's. We love it there! The food is always excellent! I honestly can't think of any more to say - all the appetizers are amazing, the bread is the best I've ever had, it's just a great place. [21 May 2007 18:06:46]

Worst Dining Experience The atmosphere is terible. The service was horrible, the waitress hardly came to check on us and there were only a couple of tables full, not like she was busy. The food was terrible, too much lemon on the Veal, it made us pucker everytime we took a bite. There should be a door or something blocking the kitchen cause it's not good to see eveyone in the kitchen dancing around and acting a fool. That was definitely not real Italian food. The food was way overpriced, almost $20, for Eggplant Parmasean (none of the ingrediants cost that much to make when there is no meat) a waste of good money for terrible food. [11 Jan 2008 12:56:17]

I cant believe it. I simply cannot agree with the last reviewer. My wife and I have gone to Francos for over ten years, even before they moved to Clinton when it was in South Jackson. We think the food is great and well worth the money. I have never had a bad meal there. Everyone I know that eats there loves it. Over the years we have met several great waiters and waitresses although there have been a few times when service was slow. Overall this is one of our favorite restaurants. Try the scallop shrimp and mushroom alfredo! [09 Mar 2008 03:11:35]

Best Dining Experience I also cannot agree with "Worst Dining Experience". The food is fantastic! My husband has been eating at Franco's (formally Mario's) for over twenty years. I have worked at Franco's for almost two years and have come to love, not only the atmosphere, but also the staff. Everyone tries their best to make sure that each patron gets the best service available as well as the freshest food. The entrees are a little more expensive than your average "real Italian", such as Olive Garden, because Chef Franco uses fresh ingredients and makes all of the food from scratch (instead of microwaving frozen dishes purchased from U.S. Foods). In short, if you're looking for a fabulous meal surrounded by a friendly, family-like atmosphere, come see us at Franco's! [06 Jun 2009 12:53:16]

Addicting I have been going to Franco's (formerly Mario's) for nearly 25 years on a regular basis. Importantly, it is a real family business - an Italian family passing down recipes and not scrimping on quality. Franco's has been part of my life - we even chose to have our wedding rehearsal dinner there. I have wonderful memories of family dinners and birthdays. Even when times were bad, such as after the funeral of a family member - we chose to go to Franco's. Why? We knew the staff would take care of us and Franco would make us something special. Wonderful, Authentic Italian My family has only just begun to visit Franco's, but will definitely eat there over Olive Garden when "real" Italian food is desired! We loved the cozy atmosphere and attentiveness of the servers, especially to our 2 young daughters! Everything we had was great, but I would highly recommend the Eggplant Parmesan! The portions are HUGE, plenty of food for your buck. The only thing we could complain about is that they aren't open on Sundays! [23 Aug 2009 19:38:36]
