The last bastion of cheese-on-a-stick
Corn Dog 7 is about the only place in the US that still serves the rare delicacy known as cheese-on-a-stick. It can be found at fewer and fewer amusement parks and carnivals, but it's always on the menu at Corn Dog 7. It's basically a block of American cheese dipped in corn meal batter and deep fried. The cheese melts on the inside, saturating the corn meal. It's quite delicious and filling, and darn near impossible to make yourself.

The chain itself is often found in malls. It's not really a "restaurant;" more like a food stand. When I was there (at one in Mississippi and one in Oklahoma) they also had really good lemonade.    [01 Jun 2008 13:12:02]
