Best burger in town

Better'n B's
While I'm not from around Oxford, but I've eaten a life-time of ribs from all over the US. Regarding Oxford, I tried the ribs at B's and they were very tender. However, Andy's ribs are tender, too - plus they're smokier. The rub is (am I allowed to say this ..?) sophisticated .. with maybe a bit of clove. Lastly, the sauce tastes better to me - it's more complex. I think they are far better than Interstate or Corky's ... and don't even get me started on Rib Cage...    [18 Sep 2006 16:02:50]

Best BBQ
I've never had the cheeseburger at Handy Andy's, I'll have to try it. We like their barbeque. The pork is smokey and finely shredded. The sauce and slaw are not overly sugared - a major problem at most BBQ joints including B's.    [26 Sep 2006 12:24:05]

Handy Andy's holds the Candle in BBQ!
Whenever I visit my parents, we have to make a mad dash to none other than the awesome Handy Andy's. I grew-up on this BBQ. Now, since I'm a parent myself I like to have my daughter and my husband to eat what is real BBQ. I live in South,MS. YUUUUUMMMMM!!!!
I'm from Sydney, Australia and travelled to Oxford for a wedding. Us Aussies got whisked off to Handy Andy's to try the BBQ. I was a bit shocked at the look of the place but didn't want to show anyone I was chicken, so I ordered the pulled pork sandwhich and some ribs. On the first bite of the pork I had this 'Harry Met Sally' thing going on in my head. It was the best tasting ANYTHING I'd ever eaten! My only lament is that I can't jump into a car and go get a regular fix. I found some recipes but they just aren't the same.    [24 Jan 2008 20:55:40]
