Good food and good times
The Big Easy is the only New Orlenes style restaurant that I know of in the North Mississippi area outside of Rosey Baby's in Starkville. The food is authentic and good and also there is an excellent bar upstairs that often has very good live entertainment.    [03 May 2004 12:40:01]

Tupelo's Best
A fantastic cajun style restaurant, bar & grill fashion in historic downtown tupelo. The place is usually hopping when the live entertainment starts around 8pm weekends. The gator meat is great.    [17 Jun 2006 21:05:19]

Great food / Good service / Bad Deal
I drove 50 miles with a party of four to enjoy a great meal, only to find out after I received my bill that they had added 20% to my ticket, as well as the ticket of the couple with me.

When I asked what this was for, I was told that management had told each waiter to add 20% to all bills regardless of the number in a party.

I looked over the menu to see if it said anything about adding 20% to the bills. The only info said, "Parties of five or more will be charged a 5% gratutity."

I do not like to be told how much to tip the waitstaff, as I had already decided on her tip, which would have been 23%.

She was great with her service, I only wish the management was more tuned into how this looks to the customers.

By the way, on my way out a couple was trying to get in to eat but was told by security that it would be $20 to get in the door. Is this a restaurant or some old bar and grill?    [05 Sep 2007 12:33:11]
