Just dandy
I first discovered the place (apparently a family operation) in 1992. I come to Yellowstone nearly every year, and I always eat at least one meal every day at the Old Town. If you want "fancy" food at fancy prices, go somewhere else! The Old Town serves food like your grandma made and the prices are good. It's my favorite restaurant in West.    [22 Nov 2003 08:48:52]

Easy in Easy out
If you're a jet setter here is a awesome tip, catch hops into West Yellowstone, MT, walk out of the terminal due south and enjoy the forest with its sights and sounds (watch out for bears). When you arrive track down a well known restaurant started in the early 50's. You wont be disappointed. Simple and practical with a beer to wash it down. It's more fun than a ten foot day. Really most of my rating are all in fun. I'm the kind of person who enjoys quality things and this is well worth the expense.    [14 Dec 2005 22:21:16]

The best food served up the fastest of any place I've ever been, it made my first trip to Yellowstone unforgettable. Had only one waitress and man did she do an outstanding job, I'll definitely be back, from Georgia.    [03 Mar 2006 14:36:15]

IT'S GOTTEN SO BAD!! TOO, BAD.
I discovered this hole-in-the-wall back in 2003 when it had great food. Now it's PITIFUL. Just visited there today, in their expanded restaurant, eager for the same greatness. My family had 3 different breakfasts, ALL BAD. ALL COLD, hotcakes tough, a fork couldn't cut the bottom surface, biscuits mushy with congealed gravy, country fried steak from Gordons Food Services-frozen. Nothing actually tasted homemade. A sad outcome to a formerly tasty food joint.    [30 Sep 2007 23:06:46]

Best food in town!!
My husband and I went in for breakfast, and loved the service,(Steve) and the food was great, so were the prices. My husband loved the Moose Drool Beer, and they had my favorite-MGD. Steve is a wonderful server.    [13 May 2008 17:35:03]

Characterful
Visited 05.08. Had two great dinners at this place. The manager is a real character with a very dry sense of humor. Excellent ribs & steaks - highly recommended.    [04 Jun 2008 11:31:40]
