Awesome Dining
We ate in this Cafe on our visit to Whitefish - it's on the Big Mountain in a Lodge - this was by far the best meal we have experienced in our visits to the west. The Chef has an incredible grasp of sauces and food presentation. Wine list was superb - we understand why they have the Wine Enthusiast Awards and Wine Spectator Awards ! Outstanding
I love Cafe Kandahar, whenever I'm in Whitefish I make it a point to eat as many dinners as possible there. The dining room is elegant and comfortable, I always make new friends, sometimes locals, sometimes out of towners, when I dine. The menu is unique, the wine list awesome and the food top tier; chef Andy Blanton has created something incredibly special and surprising on top of Big Mountain. The entire staff is knowledgeable, relaxed and makes each dinner a success. As a chef myself I am very particular about food, wine and service, and Andy Blanton/Kandahar exceeds my expectations every time.    [01 May 2007 08:48:55]
