Ripped Off
There's nothing I love better than good barbeque, and my wife and I try different places quite often in search of the best.

Friday May 30, 2003 12.00 noon we tried Sppons and were greated by a short brown haired waitress who took our order. We ordered 2 sandwiches, 2 teas and the lady asked about fries or hush puppies. I asked my wife if she wanted either and she said fries. The waitress then asked about hush puppies again and I said no not today. When our order came the sandwiches were small but good with the exception there was a little too much vinegar on them. The tea was good but she gave us hush puppies anyway and said they were on the house. Well me being curious started looking at the bill and found the waitress had charged 3.30 for each sandwich, 1.00 for each tea 1.75 for fries and 1.00 FOR 6 hush puppies I didn't order and she lied about. I'll never go back. Besides 10.00 a pound is a rip off.    [31 May 2003 11:40:43]

Spoon's BBQ

We love Bill Spoon's BBQ. The waitresses are always cordial and accomodating. The BBQ is true eastern style bbq and the sauce is the best around. It is vinegar based without the tomatoey, sweet flavor that some people favor.

My brother always begs me to take him there when he visits so now it is a tradition.....whenever he visits, we go. I'm going to have to start getting him to visit more often!    [03 Jul 2006 12:31:36]
