AVOID if......
... you are in a hurry or want your steak cooked to order.

Eight of us went to dinner for my mother's birthday. We had reservations on Saturday 5/1 at 6:00 pm. We ordered at and did not receive our entrees for over an hour and 15 minutes. When the meal did arrive - a steak that had been ordered medium rare was delivered medium well at best. When sent back it was another 30 minutes before the correct steak was delivered (during which time, the rest becamae cold and then required everyone to be rude and eat while she sat and watched).

Of course by the time the corrected steak arrived - everyone was through with their entree.

To be fair they did offer a $5 dessert in to make up for the ruined $180 birthday dinner, and a complimentary slice of cake for the birthday girl... But said it would take an additional 20 minutes to prepare. By this time we had been there over 2 hours. Keep in mind we went well before the dinner hour...

I am sure we could have gotten more satisfaction had we complained louder - but we should not have had to. Instead I will just never go back again and offer the same advice for anyone planning an evening out.    [02 May 2004 22:22:35]

BEST KEPT SECRET IN CHARLOTTE

I live across the street from Dakotas and cant get enough of it. It's great for a romantic dinner or sitting at the bar for a cocktail. They have wonderful wines and appetizers.    [31 Mar 2007 22:29:01]
