Family train theme restaurant. Reasonable prices. Seats over a 100 in dnning area with private dining area for parties. Seat up to 20 in the bar.

We live in the area and have been eating at Boxcars for the past 3 years. We have yet to have a bad meal or service. This is a well oiled machine and the food is excellent. The servings are large, even the hamburgers. A perfect atmosphere for the train buff family. Kids area keeps children entertained and they love it when the clocks strike the top of the hour with train whistles. If you're looking for a quite atmosphere this is not it. This is a noisy, friendly restaurant. It's like eating in a busy train station. WE LOVE IT!    []

The building is nice and most of the time the food is good, but the wait staff is just ok. The young girl who does the to-go orders over the phone is just plain rude. The need to get rid of their young workers and replace them with mature adults who don't have smart mouths and bad attitudes.    [29 Jun 2004 13:10:05]

Family Tradition
We have been going to Boxcar every Thursday night for a while now, and I have no complaints! I love the local atmosphere, you always see people you know! It's a great, laid back, inexpensive place to eat, and the prices are great!    [02 Aug 2005 11:44:23]

Thursday is wing day; what a deal! 12 wings and salad bar for around 6 bucks.

my wife and I also enjoy the "trolley trio" and their burgers are great. I know the owner and he's a great guy.my only problem is that the waiting area is next to the bar and I don't like to be, nor do I like to have our grandchildren around this part of the restaurant.    [21 Feb 2008 06:41:04]
