Don't Bother
There are now several great choice for dining in the Corolla area of the Outer Banks. Turf's Up is not one of them. This place advertises "bistro" dining with a view but is actualy just a small uninteresting place with a rude wait staff and pretentious prices. The menu is very limited and does not offer even one vegetarian option. No attempt was made to accomodate our vegetarian guest. The portions are miniscule and over-priced although tasty. The noise from the bar section with a live guitarist/singer was very distrubing and did not allow for a relaxed dinner.

Our waiter never "bothered" to inform us that one of the entrees we ordered was gone - -so 45 minutes later - he arrived with just a salad as the entree. He defended his actions and did not offer an alternative solution! We asked for the manager (who is also the owner/cook) and he was equally arrogant. We paid for our meal - exactly - and left no tip - something I have never done in 40 years of eating out.

This place should be a definite zero on a scale of one to ten.....don't waste your time or money.    [18 Sep 2003 08:35:14]

Ever since the new owners took over the restaurants in 2004, the restaurant has plummeted and is not worth the time or effort to go there!    [26 Aug 2007 10:37:56]
