All menu items are wonderful.
Had a Grouper last week that was incredible. Rib-eye? To die for.

Everyone in the restaurant is polite, friendly, they are all responsible to the customers' needs.

Do not like your meal....No problem.

tough steak
The $18.95 ribeye I had was as tough as nails. I always finish a steak but I got tired of chewing less than half was through it. The service and salad bar were good.    [24 Jul 2004 16:09:18]

Poor Service/Steaks Tough as Nails
I was excited to take a business associate to your restaurant in H'ville.
To my surprise and embarassment, we/I found the steaks to be as tough as nails
and when we politely complained..we were
put off and ignored seemingly..I noticed
the business almost empty on a friday
night..apparently, others are getting
our drift.. In the restaurant business,
word of mouth is priceless...

My Favorite Place for Steak
I've been to The Peddler numerous times in its current and previous locations, and haven't had a bad meal there yet. We took a part of about 20 there for a pre-wedding dinner, and they handled the group well. Great salad bar, great meat. I like the cuts that you can size at your request. Was there on July 31, 2006.
Hit up the Early Bird time frame.

Although the prime rib was good, had I seen the salad bar first, I would have just indulged in it. I am very picky about my steak and do not hesitate to send it back if it is not exactly as I ordered. I did not need to send this one back. The service was absolutely remarkable and although we were tourists we were treated as if they had known us our entire life. Wilty Lettuce at Salad Bar

Could be Better...
We ate at the Peddler several times in the summer and autumn of both 2005 and 2006, but it's fallen out of favor with us. On a few occasions, the prime rib was fatty - not enough to really complain, but each time we hoped that it was a one-off problem, and it's not. The sauteed mushrooms are poorly done and overpriced - we've seen better at ordinary chain restauarants (99, O'Charley's, Outback, etc.). The ribeye was about the only entree that was decent. The salad bar seems to be in decline - it was great in '05, but went downhill in '06.    [29 Oct 2006 15:12:00]

WORST SERVICE EVER!!!
We went out to enjoy a leisurely, nice dinner.But had the worst experience ever!!! Our dinner did not come out as ordered. Our food was cold. And then they tried to re-serve us "nuked" food. We POLITELY complained. But we ended up being verbally abused by the "owner". He not only cussed at us but made us feel threatened.His reactions were unwarranted! We actually asked that he call the police, which he did not do. We have never been so insulted, shocked, offended, humiliated as we were that evening. I would never recommend this restaurant or experience to anyone. Basically the above desciption of the service of this establishment is completely FALSE. The unfortunate matter is that had the food and service been good, I could see where this could have been an enjoyable dinner.    [26 Apr 2007 12:40:46]
