Umi offers Japanese fine dining in a casually elegant dining atmosphere. The restaurant features a full range of sushi plus full lunch and dinner entrees with soups, salads and appetizers. Specialties include spicy crab salad, noodle dishes, chicken, shrimp, beef teriyaki, filet mignon, tempura, and miso salmon, all cooked with Chef David Zheng's signature Japanese flair. Beer, wine and mixed drinks are also available. With friendly service, easy access and a pleasing upscale decor, Umi has quickly become a favorite dining option in downtown Hendersonville. Parking is provided on site with extra parking available on the street. Seating is provided both inside and outside on the private patio. Dinner reservations are recommended.

Amazing Sushi in Small Town Hendersonville
The best in town. We have eaten at Umi countless times. Will go back again and again. You can't get sushi this good in most small towns.    [18 Apr 2008 16:32:01]

Best sushi in the area!!
If you want outstanding sushi go to Umi! It's fresh and they offer creative rolls on special. Plating is beautiful! Their dinner entrees are wonderful also but I mainly go for the fish! Be sure to check out their great selection of saki. They have a nice cold, unfiltered selection along with many more. Amy makes a GREAT dirty martini also!!    [30 Apr 2008 11:02:28]

My Favorite Restaurant!
I love going to Umi for their amazing sushi! The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous!!! They offer some great daily specials but their food is incredible! If you aren't into sushi, check out their lunch bento boxes! A definite step up for Hendersonville!    [13 May 2008 18:41:49]
