Nice & spicy!
I had the bbq beef; my friend had the ribs... the sauce has a nice cayenne pepper kick, not overpowering though, with a vinegar flavor (typical for North Carolina, I think). The ribs were meaty and tender, and had a sweet glaze that paired well with the spicy sauce. The cole slaw & beans on the side were good, but the hush puppies were so-so. We have eaten at Pigmans for 20 years
The food is still good but we liked it when the real Pigman himself and his wife
had it. The care of the place really showed then. We liked the ambiance better
when they owned it.It was always clean and the floors would shine. It was like going to a family home for a good old fashion
southern meal.We realize times change but thats one I wish hadn't. We miss the old place.and Pigman and Cheryl.In fairness to the new owners the food is still good.    [15 Mar 2008 20:32:24]
