Description

Established in 1967, this restaurant specializes in hickory smoked barbecue pork, ribs, chicken, and all beef jumbo hotdogs, as well as some of the best homemade cole slaw and baked beans you'll find in the area. Riverside picnic tables with wonderful views of the Rocky Broad River are also on site. They are open Wednesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner during the summer and open only on weekends during the winter.

Great BBQ
My girlfriend and I eat at Duncan's BBQ any time we're passing through that area. I grew up in Memphis and am used to that style BBQ but I really like Duncan's too. They serve a minced style that is not like the regular vinegar based stuff found in most places in NC and I think it's great. The sandwiches are big too.

The owners are friendly; and it's nice to sit outside overlooking the river while you eat.    [06 Oct 2006 11:27:41]
